SATURDAY, OCTOBER 7 BUSHNELL PARK

Grounds open at 4pm | Performance at 6pm

Thank you to our loyal audience, vendors, volunteers, and funders!

NIGHT FALL 2023 IS RAIN OR SHINE AND THE SHOW WILL GO ON!

  • The grounds officially open at 4pm.
  • Wear layers and bring lawn chairs.
  • Bring your own lantern, glow sticks, or flashlights to light up our finale!
  • We have confirmed at least three food trucks and a hot chocolate station for tonight.
  • The Bushnell Park Carousel will be open until 6:15pm with rides only $2!
  • Family activities will take place in the Bushnell Park Carousel. There will be three vendors in the Bushnell Park Pump House.

Come early for extra Night Fall fun! Our Night Fall 2023 location is the east side of Bushnell Park (framed by Elm Street, Ford Street, and Trinity Street) in downtown Hartford. The stage will be set up in proximity to the Pump House/Pulaski Circle. See the “Rain Plan” section for additional details.

Bring a chair to sit on for the performance, which starts at 6 pm. There is no reserved seating–first come, first served. Ushers will be on hand to direct you, including in the ADA accessible seating area.

Visit the lantern-making table before the show and volunteer at the Info Table to carry your lantern in the final scene of the performance!

Night Fall was created in 2012 to celebrate the city’s park system and neighborhoods by rotating its annual presentation to public park sites throughout the city. Centered in the belief that the arts and Hartford’s parks should be welcoming, inclusive, and accessible, Night Fall is free and open to all.

Night Fall 2023 is located on the east side of Bushnell Park near the Pump House/Pulaski Circle Rotary. This side of the park is framed by Ford Street, Trinity Street and Elm Street and is home to the Bushnell Park Carousel and the Winterfest Skating Rink. If you are on the side of the park with the Capitol Building and stage, you are on the wrong side!!

Parking is available on adjacent streets, the Capitol lot, and area paid lots. You can find additional information on how to get to Bushnell Park here and here.

In the spirit of sustainability, please consider walking, skating, taking a CT Transit bus, carpooling, biking or e-scooting to the park. Complimentary bike valet service provided by BiCiCo.

Team Night Fall needs community volunteers to be Greeters, Ushers, Accessibility Volunteers, Parking Attendants, Lantern Bearers and more! Reach out to us at info@nightfallhartford.org to sign up and get more information in advance–or visit the Info Table when you arrive!

This year’s performance is created, written, directed, cast and choreographed by the Night Fall Artistic Collaboration, a group of multi-talented Hartford artists.
